Mountain View Pure Water is here to answer all of your questions. Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. Feel free to give us a call if you have additional questions!
Isn't all water the same?
Contrary to popular belief, not all water is the same. The three types of water are utility grade water, working grade water, and life support water.
- Utility grade water comes from the municipal water supplier or out of a well and does not need any treatment because it is usually used to water plants and lawns.
- Working grade water is water that is optimal for bathing in, washing clothes or dishes and best performance of water using appliances.
- Life Support Water is water that has been purified by removing unwanted organic contaminants, as well as man-made chemicals, making it safe for drinking and cooking,
Should I get my water tested?
The CDC and EPA suggest getting your water tested every year to ensure your safety. If you are uncertain about what contaminants are polluting your water, you should get your water tested. Unfiltered water can contain excessive iron, chlorine, dirt, bacteria, and dissolved rock. For more information about the specific contaminants that may be in your water, we offer FREE in-home water testing for your peace of mind. Schedule your test today!
What are some of the benefits of water softeners?

- Working grade water that is gentle on your fixtures, plumbing, and appliances
- Eliminate limescale (hardness build up) in showers, shower head, bathtubs, sinks, and faucets

- and many more benefits!
You may be concerned that the cost of water treatment will be detrimental to your budget, we would like to help you think this through. Just like millions of others in Tennessee, you may be dealing with the unpleasant, expensive and sometimes harmful effects of untreated water. Replacing plumbing and appliances, stained and ruined clothes, and excessive amounts of soaps, cleaners, and skin care products are very expensive. In fact, right now you may realize you are investing a large portion of your budget to simply deal with the problems caused by hard water in your home.
For your convenience, we can provide a Monthly Expense Worksheet to help you find out what it is costing you to keep your water the way it is. By using conservative numbers to fill out the worksheet we are confident you will find it is very expensive to not treat your water!
I love water system Dan installed for me, it has made such a difference. Dan tested the water and showed me exactly what was in it and the different options that I could use to correct it. I definitely recommend Mountain View Pure Water, they are very professional and trustworthy.
Great and professional guy to work with and so helpful!! Dan is a upstanding guy! And the difference in my water is wonderful! Softer skin and my cleaners and such work so so much better!! Well worth it!
I own a home with a well and my water it good but very hard. Dan from Mountain View Pure Water installed a Hague Model 97 unit for us. It was no easy install as our home is small and the installation was outdoors. Dan's installation was professional and aesthetically pleasing. Our water is now soft, showers are a joy, dishes don't spot, and clothes don't come out stiff and streaked. I could not ask for a better installation than that provided by Mountain View Pure Water. Thanks Dan
We just replaced our old water filtration system with a brand new Hague system, installed by Dan Toth. He was very knowledgeable about the product, he was very informative about our local water supply, and quickly replaced our old system. Our old system only lasted about 8 years, our new Hague system has a 25 year warranty! We are very pleased with this new system, and very pleased with the fast, friendly service we received when replacing our old system!
I can't say enough good about Mountain View! Working with Dan was great--he will explain just about anything, and he was very helpful as we had several items to install. He is committed to QUALITY service! We had a very difficult home to work with and he spent countless hours helping us figure out how to have the best possible setup for a water softener and reverse-osmosis. If Dan suggests something for your home, I highly recommend you purchase it because he is very trustworthy! We didn't buy the reverse osmosis at first and as a little time went on I started realizing how much better it would be if I would've taken Dan's advice in the first place. As for the products, they truly are TOP OF THE LINE... The water softener is more versatile than any other softener I've seen, and it really is a "jack of all trades" for removing a lot of nastiness from your water. The reverse osmosis is just the cherry on top... it's like having the best bottled water on the market come right out of your sink! Here's the bottom line -- whatever end result you want in your water at home, Mountain View can make it happen! I was a skeptic about this stuff and now I'm a believer! :) Thanks again, Dan!
