About Us
We’re your neighbors.
We just happen to know a lot about water.
Locally owned water filtration in the Tri-Cities since 2016.
Mountain View Pure Water & Air started in 2016 with one guy, a truck, and the belief that everyone deserves clean water. Since then we’ve helped hundreds of families across East Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. Today as a team of six, we have a few more trucks, but the service is the same.
How it started.
I grew up around water treatment. My dad was a water treatment technician, so we always had good water at home. You notice that kind of thing when you’re a kid. You’d go to a friend’s house, fill up a glass, and it just wasn’t the same.
After college, I tried a few different paths. I ran businesses, worked in a factory putting together engines. Honestly, it was widget work. Somebody else could have done my job and it wouldn’t have mattered who. I kept looking for something that felt like what I was supposed to be doing, and I couldn’t find it.
But my dad’s work was different. People with real water problems would call, and he’d show up and fix it. He actually helped people, and I grew up watching that. I knew I wanted to do something that mattered like that.
So about 20 years ago, I moved to central Florida and got into water treatment professionally. I spent years learning on some of the toughest water in the country, and that’s the kind of knowledge you can only build by doing the work, house by house, system by system.
When my wife and I decided to find a new home to raise our family, we chose the Tri-Cities. I started Mountain View Pure Water in 2016, with a truck and a vision to make a difference in my community.
I really found a niche in helping people get healthy water. When I show someone what’s in their water and they realize they can actually do something about it: that’s why I get up in the morning.
We have a few more trucks now. The service is the same.

What we know after ten years.
Here’s the thing about doing water treatment in one place for a decade: you learn the water. Not from a textbook, but from being in people’s homes, running tests, and seeing what keeps showing up. After a thousand homes across the Tri-Cities, we can usually tell you what’s likely in your water before we even start testing. Most of the time, we’re right. The water changes from one side of town to the other, and we’ve seen enough of it to know the patterns.
We’ve served over 1,000 families since 2016. Six people on the team, all local. We’re here to build relationships, not just sell equipment and disappear. We still service our first customers from 2016.
I tell new customers all the time: I’m not going anywhere. My family’s here, my team’s here. The manufacturer’s warranty on our systems is 25 years, and we plan to be here for every one of them. Call us in a decade. Call us in 20 years. If something goes wrong with your system, you’re going to call us, and we’re going to come. That’s what local actually means.
Dan could have sold us the whole bill of goods but told us we only needed the UV light as our water softener was functioning fine. Previous services had told us it wasn’t and that we needed an entire new system.

We still test before we recommend anything. We still tell people the truth about what’s in their water, even when the truth is “your water’s actually pretty good, you don’t need much from us.” We still let people decide. That hasn’t changed, and it’s not going to.
The people behind your water.

Why Tri-Cities families choose Mountain View.
We don’t pressure people. That’s the thing every customer comments on after their first water test, and we never quite know what to say to it because to us, it’s just how we do the job.
We test first. Every time.
A comprehensive in-home water test before we recommend anything. We take the time to explain what the results actually mean for you. Learn more about our testing process here.
Local Team. Always.
Six people, all local. Not a franchise rotating techs through your area. When you call, you get someone who knows your system.
We still pick up the phone.
The manufacturer's warranty is 25 years, and we're not going anywhere. Call us in a decade. Call us in 20 years.
No pressure. Ever.
You keep your test results either way. If you want to move forward, we're here. If you need time to think about it, that's fine too.
Excellent workmanship. After a lot of research I chose this particular system. I’m not into monthly or yearly rental fees of equipment as the competition pushes onto clients. The other competition won’t guarantee equipment if you don’t rent it from them. So I give this company an A+++ for all around the best equipment and service.
