Air Purification

When was the last time you thought
about the air in your house?

Most people haven’t. We get it. Air is invisible, your house feels fine, and it’s just not on the radar. But the air inside your home often contains pollutants at levels 2 to 5 times higher than outdoor air, and it’s worth understanding why.

Your house is sealed up
tighter than you think.

Modern homes are built for energy efficiency. Better insulation, tighter windows, fewer drafts. That’s good for your power bill. It’s not great for your air.

Everything you bring into your home stays in your home: cooking smoke, cleaning product fumes, off-gassing from new furniture and carpet, pet dander, dust, mold spores, pollen, and whatever you tracked in on your shoes. In an older drafty house, a lot of that gets exchanged with outdoor air naturally. In a newer well-sealed house, it just builds up.

Tri-Cities pollen and seasonal allergens don’t stop at your front door.

The EPA’s Science Advisory Board has consistently ranked indoor air pollution among the top five environmental health risks to public health. Most of us spend 90% of our time indoors. The math isn’t great.

Same philosophy,
different problem.

We approach air the same way we approach water: education first, no pressure, no scare tactics. We come to your home, talk through what you’re dealing with (allergies, asthma, smells, dust, mold concerns, just curiosity), and recommend a solution that fits your situation.

Sometimes that’s a whole-home air purification system tied into your HVAC. Sometimes it’s a portable unit for one room. Sometimes it’s just changing your filter more often and addressing a specific source. We’ll tell you what we’d do if it were our house.

The most incredible products and service not just in the Tri-Cities but the entire industry. So happy to have the air purifier, especially with our terrible allergies and now a newborn sleeping in the room with us.

Solutions for every space.

Whole-Home Air Purification

Integrated into your HVAC system to clean the air throughout your entire home. Best for households with allergies, asthma, pets, or anyone wanting cleaner air in every room. Powered by ActivePure Technology. More on how that works below.

Portable Air Purifiers

Targeted solutions for specific rooms or specific concerns. Bedrooms, home offices, nurseries, basements. Lower investment, easy to move.

Commercial Air Quality

For restaurants, salons, coffee shops, and other small businesses where indoor air quality affects your customers and your team.

Backed by the same team and the same service plans you’d get with a water system.

The technology inside.

The systems we install use ActivePure Technology. It was originally developed for use on the International Space Station, and it’s the only air purification technology that’s been awarded the Certified Space Technology seal by the Space Foundation. That sounds like a marketing line, but it’s a verifiable designation you can look up.

Here’s how it actually works. Oxygen and water molecules in the air pass through a honeycomb matrix inside the unit. UV light and a catalytic coating interact with those molecules and transform them into natural oxidizers. Those oxidizers get released back into your home, where they actively seek out and break down contaminants on surfaces and in the air.

A regular air filter sits in your vent and waits for particles to float into it. ActivePure sends purifying molecules out into your rooms to find contaminants where they live: on your counters, your doorknobs, in the air you’re breathing while you sleep.

Five layers of protection

Our whole-home systems combine the following. They run around the clock, they’re whisper-quiet, and they produce no ozone. One unit covers up to 2,500 square feet.

  1. 01

    ActivePure Technology

Sends purifying molecules into your rooms to break down contaminants on surfaces and in the air.

  2. 02

    Better-than-HEPA Filtration

Captures particles down to 0.1 microns — three times smaller than standard HEPA.

  3. 03

    Activated Carbon

Absorbs odors, smoke, and volatile organic compounds at the source.

  4. 04

    Ionization

Causes airborne particles to clump together so they fall out of your breathing space.

  5. 05

    Germicidal UVC Light

Inactivates bacteria, viruses, and mold as air passes through the unit.

Independent laboratory testing has shown these systems reduce over 99.9% of common airborne and surface contaminants, including bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, and VOCs. That’s not our testing. That’s from independent, unaffiliated labs.

One more thing worth knowing: the equipment is manufactured by Aerus in Bristol, Virginia. Same region we serve. We install it, we service it, and if something needs attention, we’re right here.

We love our new air purifier from Mountain View Pure Water. It has made a tremendous difference in the air quality of our home. If you have a little one or anyone in your home with breathing difficulties or allergies, this helps. They’re knowledgeable, honest, reliable, and professional. They even service the air purifier and stand behind their warranty. There is no other air purifier company I have found like this.

Questions we hear most

Probably depends on who lives in your house. If anyone has allergies, asthma, respiratory sensitivity, or you have pets, the answer is usually yes. If you’re generally healthy and your home is well-ventilated, it might be a quality-of-life upgrade rather than a necessity. We can help you figure out which.

Whole-home systems clean the air throughout your house by tying into your HVAC ductwork. Portable units handle one room at a time. Whole-home is the better long-term solution but requires a bigger upfront investment. Portable is great for targeted needs or as a starting point.

In most cases, yes. A good air purification system removes pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and other common allergens. A lot of our customers have told us their allergy symptoms dropped noticeably after installation. How much depends on the system and what you’re reacting to, but most people notice a difference.

Our whole-home systems install directly into your HVAC ductwork. Most installations take a few hours and don’t require any major changes to your existing setup. We handle the install start to finish.

We come to your home, walk through your space, and talk about what you’re noticing (allergies, smells, dust, anything else). If it makes sense, we can also test your water and look at your plumbing while we’re there. One visit, no cost, no pitch. You decide what to do next.

Yes. ActivePure Technology is based on technology originally developed for use on the International Space Station. The Space Foundation awarded it the Certified Space Technology seal, which is a third-party verification you can check independently. We wouldn’t put that on our website if it weren’t real.

Curious what’s in your air?
Let’s find out together.

A free air quality conversation takes about an hour. We come to your home, walk through what you’re dealing with, and give you honest recommendations. No cost. Just a conversation about what you’re dealing with and whether we can help.
